I had the opportunity to work with two teams.
  • TekTube Sourcing Team (1 Month)
    My primary responsibilities included searching for videos related to IoT using assigned keywords, transcribing the videos, and documenting the ownership details. I was able to upload the documentation and videos to the company's cloud server. This involved extensive use of Microsoft office toolset, which helped me gain proficiency in Microsoft Office tools and company's own software. I was given a weekly target of sourcing 25 videos, and I was able to achieve this goal consistently throughout the internship. My work in this team helped me to understand the IoT industry better and also helped me to develop my skills in finding relevant information from the internet, as well as in using software specific to the company.
  • Business Development Team (2 Months)
    Worked alongside an international management team on business development processes such as digital marketing, BPO, online lead generation, B2B communication, and CRM. Communicated with higher management of various organisations worldwide, promoting Company's services, attending meetings and workshops. I was able to generate 600+ potential business opportunities (companies + leads) and report them to my management. I used various softwares to accomplish my daily tasks. My target for the internship was to find 30 positive responsive leads from different companies, and I was able to achieve this goal in 1.5 months. This experience helped me to develop my skills in lead generation, digital marketing, and communication. Additionally, working with a professional team helped me to understand the business development process better and also helped me to develop my teamwork skills.

    In addition to my daily tasks and responsibilities, I also had the opportunity to attend various meetings and workshops within the company. This provided me with a broader understanding of the company's operations and allowed me to gain valuable insights into the industry as a whole.

    Furthermore, I also had the opportunity to work on a report for the company, which gave me a chance to apply the knowledge and skills I gained throughout the internship. I was assigned the topic "How to Improve" for the report which involved me giving my opinion on how GAOTek Inc can improve as a company and also how this internship program can be enhanced. I completed this project and received positive feedback from my management for my efforts and ideas.

Finding Leads
Actively researching and identifying potential leads through various channels, such as online platforms.

Communicating with Leads
Engaging with prospective clients through effective communication strategies, including direct messaging, emails, and arranging meetings, to understand their needs, present our products/services and establish strong relationships.

CRM
Maintaining a comprehensive Record of all interactions and relevant details with the clients, ensuring acurate and up-to-date information for future reference of the Team. Used Bitrix24 platform for CRM and Team collaboration.

Daily Report
Compiling daily reports summerising the progress made, key activities and targets achieved during the BD process, providing valuable insights to the team and management for informed decision-making and strategising.
  • Performance:
    My successful completion of the internship's targets ahead of schedule led to the management entrusting me with the responsibility of mentoring and training other interns. As a testament to my exceptional performance, I was offered a job, which I regrettably had to decline due to a conflict with my university schedule at that time.
    Outcome:
    Overall, this internship provided me with hands-on experience in a business environment and workflow, further allowing me to develop professional work ethics and a global mindset.

  • Shaheer Hussain Qazi has been one of the most hardworking and best performing interns in the program. He has taken initiative, and used his skills and knowledge to affectively accomplish the internship target. He has always assisted his colleagues and was very disciplined in his work.
